CAMLA Coffee Connections – CALL FOR MENTORS!

As we dive into the second half of the year, CAMLA Young Lawyers are excited to bring you CAMLA Coffee Connections – a fun and casual mentoring session connecting junior and senior lawyers in the industry over a cuppa!

We’re on the lookout for mid level and senior lawyers who are keen to share their wisdom over a cup of coffee with a junior lawyer. It’s a fantastic opportunity to network, share experiences, and maybe even make a new friend!

For mid level lawyers who volunteer as Mentors, there will also be opportunities to join the programme as Mentees so please consider signing up for both!

Sessions can be online if Mentors or Mentees are located outside of a major city so for those who work remotely we encourage you to volunteer!

Here’s how it works: The program will run from late May until early November, giving you flexibility to participate. We’ll pair you up with one Mentee at a time and then your Mentee can arrange a one-time coffee meet-up at a time that suits you both. To maximise connections for our Mentees we may ask you to meet a second Mentee but as this is a voluntary program, there is no obligation to do so.

The aim of this program is to facilitate mentoring connections so we will only insist on one coffee catch-up with your Mentee, however there is totally flexibility for you to stay in touch with your Mentee afterwards in whatever way you see fit.

CAMLA YLC will do all the admin and share guidance with Mentees to encourage a productive catch-up. We will be on hand throughout the entire program to assist so do not hesitate to reach out to us if you have any questions.
