CAMLA Privacy seminar: Technology and data analytics: Privacy Challenges and Solutions

Developments in technology are unlocking the value of data sets at an unrelenting pace. However, advances in data analytics need to respect privacy from a regulatory and “social compact” point of view. This seminar explores the latest developments in analytics technology by Data61 in light of privacy compliance requirements and how technology is rising to the challenge of responding to privacy at the same time as maximising the value of data sets.

Please join us for a panel discussion featuring:

Stephen Hardy, Confidential Computing, Data61, CSIRO
Timothy Pilgrim, Australian Privacy Commissioner, Acting Australian Information Commissioner
Gulley Shimeld, Special Counsel, Henry Davis York

Data61 are at the forefront of developing technology that supports data-driven insights that guide the way we live, work, learn and innovate. This panel offers a unique and current perspective on the impact of technology, particularly advances in data analytics, on privacy regulation.
